Hamilton Food Share distributes over 4 million pounds of nutritionally rich food to 16 member agencies, operating 23 emergency food banks and hot meal programs across the city each year. Over the last 20 years, Empty Bowls has raised over $394,000 to support Hamilton Food Share and food insecurity in the city.

The empty bowls will be available at the Guild’s Annual Fall Sale, an event which attracts thousands of pottery lovers from across the region. There will be high quality, locally crafted works of all types in all price ranges, including the work of this year’s featured artist Jonathan Harper. Attendees can shop all the local pottery as well as purchase a handmade empty bowl to support people in our community experiencing hunger.

About Christ's Voice of Restoration Ministries:

For the past 16 years our church, Christ’s Voice of Restoration Ministries, has served our community through holding an Annual Free Christmas Dinner where we serve a hot meal to about 1,000 homeless, needy and less fortunate people in our community and surrounding areas. We also provide free toys for the children and the families get an opportunity to shop in our Free Store for winter clothing, shoes and other items. We also provide a monthly free breakfast, emergency shelter, a food and clothing bank, and a soup kitchen through the winter months.

This year, we are hosting a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to try to help us continue and also increase our impact on our community. One of the events is our 3rd Annual Christmas Market and Toy Drive on November 16, 2024, at Christ’s Voice of Restoration Ministries, 200 Sanford Avenue N, Hamilton Ontario L8L 5Z8; where vendors can sell their products, mingle and enjoy the sounds of the season. At this event we also have some booths that is managed by the church where we do raffles and sell international cuisine. 100% of the funds raised will be used to support our various charitable efforts, both at home and abroad.
