Discover your new best friend with Trevor's Tail Waggers!
From playful pups to snuggly cats and everything in between, these pets are waiting for someone like you to give them the love they deserve! This week, we introduce Casper from Ladybird Animal Sanctuary.
Casper ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when his owner who was hospitalized indefinitely. We were happy to get this big old boy out of the shelter and into a foster home. He went to the vet shortly after his rescue, and it was discovered he had a pretty bad urinary infection. He was also in desperate need of dental surgery. Thankfully Casper's blood work results showed no issues, but he does need to lose quite a bit of weight. Xrays revealed that he's got some arthiritis in his back end, which was likely caused by carrying so many extra pounds. He was started on a combination urinary/weight loss food to help him get slim and trim again.
Now that Casper has healed from his dental surgery and his urinary infection is cleared up, he's ready for his forever home!
Here's a note from Casper's foster family:
"Casper is the sweetest gentle-kitty. He adores scritches, chatting with his people, and generally just being adorable. He's an old man with some arthiritis in his back legs--weight loss should help alleviate this. We are slowly trying to get his weight down and he is moving in the right direction!
Casper is a cuddler extraordinaire and if there is an empty space on the bed or couch, or floor (usually right behind you), he will take it. His purrs are loud enough to rattle houses and he has the cutest little snore. He gets quite annoyed if you have to move him over because he is in your spot--but he soon settles back down usually right up against you. Casper is also the best at head bonks--many an item has flown across the room because Capser demands scratches RIGHT NOW!
Casper is being fostered in a house with multiple dogs with multiple personalities. He generally avoids them, but he also has no problem giving them a swat or a hiss if they are too rambunctious around him. Casper would definitely prefer to be in a house by himself--definitely no cats. He wants all the cuddles and love for himself. Casper would be fine with respectful children--he is super affectionate toward people.
Casper is ready to find his forever home and his people. If you are looking for a new friend who will talk your ear off, be the best heating pad ever, and who will test the foundations of your home with his purrs, Casper is the kitty for you!"
Please adopt Casper!
