Dunnville Grand Tour
The Dunnville Grand Tour is a weekend cycling event for all skill levels, showcasing scenic routes along the Grand River and Lake Erie. This non-competitive ride features clearly marked paved roads, rest stops with snacks and washrooms, downloadable maps, and support vehicles. Riders can enjoy the journey at their own pace and finish with a pasta lunch.

Pop-Up in Dundurn’s Historic Kitchen Garden
Hamilton Children’s Museum will be popping up at Dundurn National Historic Site in the Historic Kitchen Garden. Bring your young family and friends for free nature-based activities in “Sophia’s Garden”, a child-focused interactive space. This area of the garden was inspired by excerpts from The Diary of Sophia MacNab, as Sophia describes playing in the kitchen garden and growing a small plot of fruits and vegetables with her younger sister. This new garden features plants selected to inspire kids to touch, smell and interact with nature. Join Hamilton Children’s Museum staff to explore plants, animals, insects and engage in hands-on activities.
This program is weather dependent and will be cancelled if there is audible thunder, heavy rain, or if temperatures are above 40 degrees Celsius.

13th Annual Mississauga Italfest
Live entertainment thrives Friday starting with the “Mississauga Italstar” youth singing showcase, local favourites Cat Bernardi and up and the up & coming teen duo Elio & Ferro. Z103’s Tony Monaco will broadcast live from the heart of Italfest’s “Under the Sauga Moon" Dance Party featuring freestyle artist Zoe and Juno award-nominated Elissa. On stage, along with Italo Canadian artist Armando Music, whose international collaborations include "EL PARADISO" with DJ Antoine, and the official FIFA World Cup song "OLE OLE", the forever popular Joee’ will pump out hits like "Angel" and "If I Could", captivating the ardent crowd. Z103.5's electrifying DJ Danny D will keep the party going at Mississauga Celebration Square until 11 pm. Get ready for non-stop dance hits!
Saturday, Celebrity MC’s, Andrea Trendadue from CHIN, and comedian Frank Spadone will highlight Italfest’s authentic cuisine, popular singers, musicians, dancers, choirs, comedians, and celebrity chefs, and inviting fans to sign up for a soccer challenge or one of Italfest’s hilarious pasta, watermelon or cannoli eating contests. All activities lead up to the nighttime spotlight shining on our Family headliners, Direct From Italy, singer-songwriter Pino Gioia, amazing tenor Giuseppe Gambi and the famous Little Tony Family Band paying tribute to their iconic Father, Little Tony.
Italfest’s 2025 featured region is Sicily and The Great Hall in Mississauga City Hall will house incredible displays of Sicilian culture. Famous people across time, artifacts, food sampling, musical performances, poetry, works of art and the world renowned Il Pupi Italici Puppet Theatre bring highlights from the largest region in Italy. As well, the Hockey Hall of Fame will present an exhibit of the famed Canadian Italian Hockey League.

The Haldimand Bird Observatory is excited to announce our first Bobolink Bonanza event! Join us at our bird banding site on August 23rd to learn about this charismatic species at risk that breeds in the surrounding area. Admission is $20/person or $40/family, with a 5$ discount for Haldimand Bird Observatory members. Included with an event ticket is a talk by an experienced Bobolink biologist, a site tour, bird banding demonstrations, snacks and coffee in the morning and a BBQ lunch in the afternoon.
There will also be nature-themed activities for kids, so bring your little ones along to experience Bobolinks and other local birds up close!
