Remembering our Grand Heroes in Haldimand County with these Grand events.
I’ll be starting off this weekend in Dunnville at Mary’s Mystic Room’s Wellness Event which is running from 10 in the morning until 4 o’clock at 275 Ramsey Drive in Dunnville. Admission is free with a donation to the Food Bank! Check out the tables that have all-natural products from Bee Goodies, the Healers, Spiritualists and more wellness focused tables!
The Christmas Craft Show at the Rainham Centre Community Hall in Selkirk is on from 10 in the morning until 3. I’ll be heading there next to check out the craft vendors that will have hand bags, jewelery, baked goods, clothing, all-natural soaps and more and all proceeds will be used to purchases socks for homeless shelters in the community!
From there I will be heading to Hagersville for the Remembrance Day Open House at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. From 1 in the afternoon until 3 there will be World War I and World War II artifacts and memorabilia on display with lots of history for you to discover. Refreshments will also be available during the open house! Since we’re on the topic of history, the Cayuga Public Library has a new exhibit at their Heritage Centre called WWII: A Defining Moment. They are open from 10 in the morning until 5 o’clock. Roam the halls exploring the history of World War II and it’s impact on Haldimand County!
Sunday will start off at Six Nations Bingo Hall in Ohsweken. They have bingo games running all day long and 40% of the profits are always donated to Non-profit and educational organizations in the community. Since 2010 they’ve donated almost $800,000 to local non-profits such as The Ohsweken Foodbank, Hagersville Hawks, West Haldimand General Hospital and many more! Hagersville Legion Branch 164 is hosting a few Remembrance Day Ceremonies on Sunday. Guests attending services are asked to show respect for the veterans by arriving for the services at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Selkirk’s Ceremony will begin at 11:45 am at the Fire hall and Jarvis will begin at 1:45 pm at the Jarvis Presbyterian Church. I will be attending both events to pay my respects to the fallen.
You can meet up with me at any of these events to say hi at the cruiser and to get a 929 The Grand Bumper Sticker!
If you’d like to invite the 92.9 The Grand Events Cruiser to your non-profit or charitable event, send me the details! All you have to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org
