The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping and the smell of pumpkin spice wafts through the air at your local coffee shop. That’s right, it’s finally fall and that means it’s time for fall fairs and fabulous fall activities!
I’ll be starting off the weekend at the Cayuga Food Bank’s monthly indoor garage sale. They hold an indoor garage sale the last Saturday of every month where they raise money for the food bank! I always say “you name it, they probably have it!” Housewares, Home décor, seasonal items, furniture, kitchen items, toys, pet supplies, and jewellery – the list goes on! They’re open from 9am-12pm at 8 McKay Street West, Cayuga.
I’ll be taking a quick drive out to Dunnville to check out the 13 Moon Hand Drum Workshop with True Experience Supportive Housing. True Experience operates two transitional/congregate living residences in Haldimand County. They help prepare individuals to transition to independent living within the community! The Hand Drum workshop allows individuals to work in a team setting to get hands on experience with the different steps of drum making. All funds raised from the workshop will contribute to the funding of True Experiences Supportive Housing.
Back to Caledonia to buy some fall plants at the McKinnon Park Secondary School Fall Plant Sale. The Green Industries class offers a high school credit and college credit to students who complete the course and, proceeds from the plant sale help to fund the class! I’ll be finishing off Saturday at the GREAT Night Market at 16 Sunrise Court in Ohsweken. It’s on from 3 in the afternoon until 9 o’clock. They have over 50+ craft, artisan and, food vendors for you to shop at!
My first stop on Sunday will be at Chiefwood National Historic site in Ohsweken. As part of Culture Days across Canada they are offering free tours of the site from 9:30 in the morning until 3:30. Sunday afternoon will be spent at the 147th Caledonia Fair! Ben McVie will be joining me to take part in the Battle of The Butter Tarts at 2pm! They have the touch a truck event, buskers, a baby show, beef show, music by Mike Stoneman and so much more for you to look forward to at the fair this weekend!
Stop by any of these events to get your hands on some Grand Goodies and 929 The Grand Bumper Stickers!
If you’d like to invite the 92.9 The Grand Events Cruiser to your non-profit or charitable event send me the details! All you have to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org
See ya out there,
