Summer vacation might be over, but the Events in Haldimand County are hotter than ever!
I love to start off the beginning of the month with lots of fun events! I’ll l be heading out to Dunnville for The Crimestoppers of Haldimand/Norfolk Shredding Day. It's on from 9am until noon at 711 Main St, in Dunnville. You can bring your personal and financial documents to be shredded for $7/box or by donation!
Lunch time comes quickly on Saturday's and True Experience in Dunnville is the perfect place to grab a bite! They're hosting a BBQ Fundraiser from 11am-2pm at 231 Queen Street to raise funds for the World Suicide Prevention Day Walk that takes place on September 10th. You can get details on the walk here.
After lunch, I'm going to do a bit of exploring in Haldimand on The Grand Valley Trail. This trail runs along The Grand River in Caledonia, Cayuga and, Dunnville. It stretches about 275km between Port Maitland to the town of Alton. Grab your water bottle and check out the trails for the afternoon! Once your appetite is worked back up you can head out to Townsend for the Townsend Lions Club's first ever chicken BBQ & Cruiser night! Get chicken, a baked potato, coleslaw, dinner roll and water – all for only 15 bucks! Proceeds will be supporting the Lions, who will put the money back into the community projects and events.
Sunday is a day for the dogs! The 30th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk is on from 10am-2pm at Bayfront Park in Hamilton. Bring your furry friend out for a 5km stroll along the waterfront trail, some shopping and fun all while supporting animals in the community!
I'll also be heading over the St. Peters Hospice in Hamilton for the Parkinson Canada Super Walk! A nationwide fundraiser for Parkinson's. With more than 80 communities and 10,000 participants across Canada, walkers, donors and volunteers come together to show that they are not alone when standing up to Parkinson's. Registration is at noon with the walk taking place at 1pm!
I'll be finishing the day off in Brantford at 539 Mohawk Street at the Brantford SPCA's Reunion & BBQ. It's on from noon until 3pm. You can bring your pet, go for a tour of the shelter, participate in activities and games, and enjoy the BBQ. Donations are always welcome to support the SPCA.
I hope to see you out in Grand Country this weekend! If you see me make sure you say hi, I might even have some Grand Goodies to give away!
If you have a non-profit or charitable event coming up make sure you send them to me! I might be able to bring the cruiser to you! Just email firstname.lastname@example.org
See ya out there,
