13 Moon Hand Drum Workshops Fundraiser for True Experience Supportive Housing

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FEE $75.00
Offers participants hands on experience with the different steps of Drum making, and allows for greater
sharing of Drum Teachings throughout the day. We open with a Thanksgiving Address, Smudge,
Introduction Circle, Drum Song, Drum Teachings, and then workshop instruction. Drum Teachings are shared at specific stages throughout the course of the workshop for greater understanding.
Participants will experience our ‘Buddy System’ fully employed during the workshop. Upon completion, a Sharing Circle is held, where we will Birth and Feast the Drums, sharing additional Drum Teachings and Drum Songs.
Materials provided for this workshop consists of:
• 13” dia. x 13 sided white pine frame to be sanded and oiled by participant
• Pre-cut, hole punched and hydrated deer raw hide circle or green hide circle
• Participants will cut their own raw hide or green hide lacing
• Making of strykers (Materials provided)
