Interac Corp. & Metro Grocery Free Drive-In Movie Night
Start your car because Interac Corp. and Metro Grocery are coming to Hamilton to host a free Drive-In movie night Saturday, July 31st at 9:00 pm at Metro Barton Street. We’re transforming grocery store parking lots into the perfect movie experience and this is one of the many stops we’re making in 20 cities across Ontario!
The Metro Retro Drive-In, presented by Interac, is a great way to reconnect with your community and features retro films (including Karate Kid, obviously), free movie snacks, an Instagram-worthy photo installation, and local vendors for you to treat yourself. Events are free, but attendees have the option of donating onsite using Interac Debit contactless payments, with all proceeds supporting local charities and food banks. The best part? Metro and Interac will match donations up to $2,000 per event. Click here for a video that shows the experience firsthand.
Supporting small businesses in Hamilton
Interac is committed to supporting small business recovery by encouraging Canadians to #supportlocal. At each local Drive-In, we’ve built an InLife Marketplace where small businesses born and raised in these communities will be selling their products and services to attendees. This is an opportunity to treat yourself while also supporting an industry that has faced the brunt of the pandemic. There will be several small businesses at the Metro Retro Drive-In in Hamilton for you to check out, including:
- Jay and Gizmo: Educational Indigenous children’s books and merchandise
- Geek + Tea: Blended teas, geeky art, handprinted tea towels and brewing accessories
- Rooted Body: Handcrafted natural skincare for all skin types and also offers all natural facial treatments and skin consultations
