World Asthma Day
To Tuesday 04 May 2021
Spring is just around the corner, and with spring, comes allergy season. A season caused by dust mites, blooming flowers, and animals that we all love to pet, but their dander strikes up an Asthma Attack.
In Canada we have 3.8 million people who struggle to breathe each and every day due to Asthma, and of that number, 850,000 are children under the age of 12. Did you know that we have 7,800 students attending both Grand Erie Boards of Education who suffer each and every day taking their 22,000 breaths!
This year, World Asthma Day is Tuesday May 4th, BUT we are going BIG! The local Dairy Queens and the Breau/Holland family have joined forces with us to extend World Asthma Day to be 23 days long.
From April 12th to May 4th at all 3 DQ locations in Brantford special log cakes will be sold specifically to help The Lung Health Foundation raise funds for programs and research for childhood asthma. Order your special log cake, for $24.99, Dairy Queen will donate $10.00 from each cake sold.
The draw to take place on Wednesday May 5th at noon, at the main DQ location on Colborne St W.
