    3 DAYS OF FREE JAZZ

    The Sun Life Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival is an annual 3 day FREE music festival held in Waterloo Ontario, encouraging all genres of jazz. This upcoming year of 2024, we invite you to our 31st Anniversary Season where we look forward to entertaining more than 28,000 enthusiastic festival goers!

  • Pop-Up in Dundurn’s Historic Kitchen Garden

    Hamilton Children’s Museum will be popping up at Dundurn National Historic Site in the Historic Kitchen Garden. Bring your young family and friends for free nature-based activities in “Sophia’s Garden”, a child-focused interactive space. This area of the garden was inspired by excerpts from The Diary of Sophia MacNab, as Sophia describes playing in the kitchen garden and growing a small plot of fruits and vegetables with her younger sister. This new garden features plants selected to inspire kids to touch, smell and interact with nature. Join Hamilton Children’s Museum staff to explore plants, animals, insects and engage in hands-on activities.

    This program is weather dependent and will be cancelled if there is audible thunder, heavy rain, or if temperatures are above 40 degrees Celsius.

  • Classic Cars & Carnival

    Step back in time and explore the grounds of Ireland House Museum during our Classic Cars & Carnival event! Enjoy a nostalgic array of classic cars, play carnival games, and treat yourself to timeless treats like popcorn and cotton candy. There will be family friendly entertainment throughout the day, a food truck, and tours of the historic house will be available for booking (regular tour rates apply).

    Admission to the event is by donation. Suggested donation of $5/person. All proceeds from the event support the development of our education programs and management of collections at Ireland House Museum. Tours of the historic home can be added on, regular admission rates apply. Pre-registration is not required.

  • RAM Rodeo at Rockton Fairgrounds

    It’s time to dust off your boots, put your cowboy hat on and saddle up because the RAM Rodeo Tour is coming to Rockton (Can we get a YEE-HAW?!)

    On July 25th and 26th, 2025 the RAM Rodeo Tour will be opening its chutes at the Rockton World’s Fairground for a wild & western weekend! The ROCKTON RAM Rodeo will showcase two days of the live action-packed sport of rodeo in the Rockton region, just as seen at the Calgary Stampede. Each rodeo performance will feature some of Canada’s top cowboys and cowgirls compete in standard rodeo events like barrel racing, bronc riding, pole bending and the world’s most dangerous sport-bull riding!

    Advance tickets are now available for a special rate of $25 for adults, and $10 for youth ($35 at the gate for adults, $15 for youth).
