The Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show returns this fall, bringing a week of family fun, agriculture, and entertainment to Simcoe. Enjoy thrilling midway rides, motorsports, horse shows, livestock displays, concerts, and plenty of delicious fair food.

This is one of Ontario’s oldest and largest fairs, celebrating over 180 years of tradition and community spirit. Don’t miss the live music, special exhibits, and the chance to cheer on competitors in everything from horse pulls to demolition derbies.

As the trees light up with reds and golds, Ruthven Park becomes a quiet stopover for birds on their long journey south. Early in the morning, you might spot volunteers gently banding tiny warblers and sparrows, checking their feathers, and sending them safely on their way. It’s peaceful, a little bit magical, and a great way to feel connected to the rhythm of the season.
